A heart-shaped tomato with wispy foliage and dense flesh, for those who enjoy pronounced flavors.

What I like about Berkeley Tie-Dye Heart is its intense flavor, supported by prominent aromas. Its firm, dense, meaty texture makes it well suited to sandwiches and flavorful sauces. Its purple tomatoes, striped with green, have a rounded heart shape.

This recent variety was discovered and stabilized by Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms. Its fine, wispy foliage, with a drooping growth habit, gives the plant a distinctive appearance in the garden. It can give the impression that the plant needs water, even when it does not. It is therefore best to check the soil moisture before watering.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.

You can share its seeds within your community: our seeds are reproducible.
