A cocktail tomato with deep, rich colours, produced in generous clusters on a vigorous plant.
What stands out about Blue Chocolate is the distinctive colouring of its fruits. Its round, large cherry-sized tomatoes display a beautiful chocolate brown colour contrasting with their almost black shoulders, a coloration caused by the presence of anthocyanins. Their mild and balanced flavour develops fully when the fruits are ripe. Their firm and juicy flesh makes them especially enjoyable to eat.
The indeterminate plant produces abundant clusters of 6 to 8 fruits. Developed by Brad Gates, this variety is not prone to cracking and reaches maturity in mid-season.
Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
