A yellow dwarf Roma tomato with a mild flavor and excellent storage life.
What stands out about Banana Toes is its excellent storage life and the pleasantly mild flavor of its yellow fruits. Its low acidity subtly enhances its mildness. Its flavor improves and develops greater depth after a few days in storage, making it an interesting choice for enjoying tomatoes at their best.
Its very compact plant reaches about 45–60 cm tall and produces elongated, paste-type tomatoes.
Banana Toes was developed as part of the Dwarf Tomato Project, a collaborative dwarf tomato breeding project involving Craig LeHoullier.
Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
