Very old variety that would have arrived with the boat 'Mayflower' in 1620, hence its name. It is also called Amish Nuttle, Red Nightfall, Cornhill Bean. An ancestral variety of the Amish, Seneca and Iroquois. Thin bean containing beige square kernels spotted with pink and red. Gorgeous! They are eaten fresh when picked young or as legumes when mature. This strain is part of the SlowFood USA Ark of Taste. 85 days.

Sow 15-20 cm apart, outdoors when all risk of frost has passed. Climb the beans on a structure, trellis or fence.

Our seeds are reproducible. You can preserve them and share them around you.
