An heirloom Italian variety, producing delicious Romano-type flat beans, cordless and tasty dry beans. Mondavi family heritage. A handful of seeds called Monachine, donated by Robert Mondavi to Angello Pellegrini, which he preserved year after year for fifty years. Saved from extinction by the donation of 11 seeds from Angelo's son to the Herfarm restaurant, which grows them to be added to the menu. 100-110 days.

Sow 15-20 cm apart, outside when all risk of frost has passed. Make beans climb onto a structure, trellis, or fence.

Our seeds are reproducible. You can preserve them and share them around you.

Heirloom and open-pollinated varieties grown naturally in the garden.

Let's take care of life, one seed at a time!
