Purple Smaragd Tomato
Heirloom variety believed to originate from Austria. Excellent smooth and sweet flavor. Juicy, non-floury flesh. Indeterminate plant with vaporous foliage giving pretty elongated tomatoes standing out for its purple dress striped with green.
Sow indoors, 5mm deep, 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Transplant. Gradually acclimatize outdoors, before transplanting, when all risk of frost has passed.
