Beautiful plant native to Mexico, having vibrant orange flowers, attracting bees and other pollinators, butterflies and hummingbirds. It is one of the plants which improves the soil by providing nitrogen and phosphorus. Can be grown in a pot but plants will be smaller, around 60 cm tall, while in the ground the plants can reach almost 2 m.

Sow indoors, on the surface, 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Transplant. Gradually acclimatize outdoors, before transplanting at 60 cm intervals, when all risk of frost has passed. A stake may be required. Direct sowing after frost is possible, but flowering will be late.

Our seeds are reproducible. You can preserve them and share them around you.

Heirloom and open-pollinated varieties grown naturally in the garden.
