A tomato that is as ornamental as it is delicious, distinguished by its beautiful variegated foliage and golden-yellow fruits striped with rosy red.

What I appreciate about Yellow Surprise Variegated is the combination of its unusual variegated foliage and colorful fruits with their fruity, sweet flavor. Its 20 to 50 g fruits have a lovely aromatic presence, accompanied by moderate acidity that balances their sweetness. Their juicy flesh makes them particularly enjoyable to eat.

This recent variety is believed to have originated from a spontaneous variation of Dean's Brad Gates, discovered and preserved by a Norwegian gardener. Its compact plant has an indeterminate growth habit, reaches approximately 1.30 metres (4.3 ft) in height and produces fruit in about 75 days.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
