A yellow tomato with a balanced and refreshing flavor.

What I appreciate about Birdie Yellow is precisely its balance. It isn’t among the sweetest, but neither is it dominated by acidity. The sweetness, acidity, and aromas are all present without any one element taking over. Its crisp and juicy texture enhances its fresh character when tasting.

Its small determinate plant reaches about 20 to 30 cm and produces good-sized yellow cherry tomatoes. Its rugose foliage and very compact growth habit make it easy to grow in a small pot, on a balcony, in a planter, or indoors with a little supplemental lighting.

And if you’re itching to get growing, sow it indoors whenever you like. It’s a great way to pass the time.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that everyone likes, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
