Large golden-striped red cherry tomatoes on a compact plant.

What first attracts me to Tiny Tiger is its very decorative, colorful tomatoes. The golden stripes stand out against the vibrant red. But what really makes it stand out from most other micro-dwarfs is the size of its tomatoes, which are quite large for a cherry tomato — both in diameter and weight. You could almost call them cocktail tomatoes.

The tomatoes form clusters of 5 to 7 fruits at a time and measure between 2 and 5 cm in diameter each, making them particularly eye-catching on a plant that can reach 30 to 50 cm tall.

Its firm flesh offers a flavor that is both sweet and tangy. Its mild, subtle flavor lets both notes express themselves delicately. Its intensity remains light, leaving plenty of room for that mildness and subtlety.

With its compact size, Tiny Tiger easily finds a place in a small pot, on a balcony, in a planter, or grown indoors with a little supplemental lighting.

And if your fingers are itching, sow it indoors whenever you like. It’s a great way to pass the time.

Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that pleases everyone, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
