In the kitchen & for tasting
Its small red cherry tomatoes are easy to enjoy straight from the garden, as a snack, or in salads.
When fully ripe, Balcony Red offers a balanced flavor. A hint of sweetness with a light acidity that gives it some brightness.
Where to Grow This Tomato?
Perfect for urban gardens, Balcony Red adapts beautifully to a 3–4 liter pot, on a balcony, in a planter, hanging basket, garden bed, growing tower, or directly in the ground.
It can be grown outdoors or indoors with a little supplemental light.
And if you can’t wait to start your seeds, sow it indoors whenever you like. It’s a great way to be patient.
The seed grower’s note
Balcony Red is small, but surprisingly versatile. Its compact, wide, trailing habit makes it interesting both in the vegetable garden and on a balcony or in a hanging basket. You can choose it for its delicious little red fruits, of course, but also for the way it inhabits a space.
I like tomatoes that don’t ask us to reserve one particular spot for them: we find ourselves wanting to make room for them almost anywhere. In a window box, along the edge of a garden bin, in a pot, or hanging, Balcony Red can both produce and contribute to the garden’s décor.
Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato isn’t the one that pleases everyone, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.

Brix observed during my tastings : 6.5
Outdoor sowing: 5 mm, 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost. Harden off seedlings before planting.
Indoor sowing: whenever you like!
Temperature: 24 to 32 °C for germination, then 16 to 20 °C
