Our Encounter
Pomodoro Cuore Antico di Acqui Terme is a rare Italian heirloom variety.
Its name already tells part of its story: Cuore refers to the heart shape of its fruits, Antico recalls its age, and di Acqui Terme takes us back to the Italian region from which it originates.
Its very large, deep-red, generally heart-shaped fruits and dense, low-water flesh make it a variety that is just as interesting fresh as it is in cooking.
It was this meeting of living heritage, remarkable texture, and a true culinary vocation that made us want to pass it on to you.
Her Traits
Pomodoro Cuore Antico di Acqui Terme produces very large fruits, weighing 500 to 900 g, generally heart-shaped and deep red.
Her dense, low-water flesh gives her a pleasant texture and good firmness.
She also has a very practical side: she peels and seeds easily, making preparation particularly simple.
In the Kitchen & Tasting
At full maturity, her flavor is rich and aromatic, with noticeable sweetness and discreet acidity.
Her dense, low-water flesh is particularly well suited to flavorful sauces, but she is also excellent fresh, in salads or sandwiches.
Just remember you wanted to make sauce before eating them all!

The Seed Grower's Word
Our seeds are reproducible: you can preserve them and share them with your community.
Preserving an heirloom variety also means allowing its story to continue traveling from garden to garden.
Every variety has its own personality. The best tomato is not the one that appeals to everyone, but the one that finds its place in your garden, your kitchen, and your habits.
