Cucurbita pepo

Heirloom warty yellow zucchini, with a compact habit, which can be grown in pots as well as in the ground. It owes its name to the rounded shape of its collar. Mild flavor and fine texture. Cultivated by Native Americans long before its popularity in seed catalogs in the 1900s.

Direct sowing in the garden, 2-3 cm deep, spaced 70 cm apart, in rows 1.2 m apart, in well-warmed soil or start indoors 2 weeks before transplanting outdoors, after acclimatization . Be careful not to disturb the roots. Has a floating blanket to protect it from insects and keep it warm until flowering.

Our seeds are reproducible. You can preserve them and share them around you.

Old and open-pollinated varieties grown naturally in the garden.
